Nestled in the vibrant heart of Midtown Manhattan, Don Antonio offers a compelling Italian dining experience that elevates the art of Neapolitan pizza to exquisite new heights. This pizza restaurant and cocktail bar is a haven for lovers of authentic Italian flavors, seamlessly blending tradition with a modern twist. From the moment you step inside, the lively yet welcoming atmosphere sets the stage for a memorable meal crafted with passion and precision.
Don Antonio’s menu is a celebration of Italy’s rich culinary heritage—with standout dishes that both intrigue and satisfy. Their signature Margarita Pizza epitomizes simplicity and balance, boasting a perfectly blistered crust that is delightfully light with just the right amount of crisp. The Truffle Burrata Pizza Ol, with its creamy burrata cheese layered over aromatic truffle, is luxurious without being heavy, offering a decadent indulgence with every bite. For a refreshing and tangy surprise, pizza lovers rave about the Lemon Pizza, which delights the palate with bright citrus notes that feel both lively and unexpectedly comforting.
But the experience goes beyond pizza. Start your meal right with inventive antipasti such as Burrata alla Scapece, where fresh burrata is paired with marinated zucchini, garlic, and fragrant mint, creating a harmonious play of creamy, tangy, and herbal flavors. The Potato Croquettes—a crispy, golden treat filled with smoked mozzarella and lemon zest—offer a perfect balance of texture and richness that's hard to resist. For salad enthusiasts, the Pere & Noci salad, composed of spring mix, Asian pears, walnuts, and a delicate lemon-olive oil dressing, refreshes the palate with every forkful.
Dessert at Don Antonio is a joyful affair. The Angioletti Nutella—lightly fried dough adorned with luscious Nutella—invites you to satisfy your sweet cravings with a warm, comforting finish that’s lovingly crafted. Whether shared between two or four, it’s an irresistible conclusion to your meal that evokes the rustic charm of Italian street food.
The catering to authenticity clearly extends into their cocktail offerings, where classics like the Aperol Spritz provide the perfect aperitivo backdrop. Espresso and cappuccino round out the Italian dining ritual with robust aromas and rich flavors that revive and comfort.
Don Antonio’s vibe is authentically Italian with a dynamic midtown energy. Though the seating may be cozy and the restaurant can buzz with energetic crowds, many patrons note the friendly and efficient service, and the relaxed bar area offers a quieter space to enjoy cocktails and conversation. Gluten-free options are thoughtfully available and praised for maintaining the same high standard of taste and texture, ensuring that all guests can find their perfect slice.
Reviewers frequently praise the familial legacy behind Don Antonio, highlighting its connection to Kesté, one of New York City’s most revered pizzerias. This dedication to pizza craftsmanship is evident in every pie served—each bite echoes years of tradition and expertise, making every visit feel special.
For anyone craving authentic Neapolitan pizza crafted with care and creativity, alongside a curated selection of Italian antipasti and cocktails, Don Antonio stands out as a must-visit destination in New York City. Whether dropping by after a Broadway show or seeking a cozy spot for a celebration, this Italian gem promises an experience where passion and flavor converge beautifully.
Amazing pizza. Great restaurant vibes but seating just okay. Service a bit pushy. Definitely worth going out of your way to visit. Walked by the place many times but finally decided to give it a go after seeing a show. We showed up 30 minutes before closing but they were happy to accommodate us. Pizza looked and was authentic. Not heavy. Absolutely delicious. “10 year anniversary” and “fall… in love” pizzas were just amazing. My girl really liked the wine menu. Overall top notch food experience. Staff were generally good but as it was near closing, they kept pushing us to order quickly and finish up. I get it but not so nice. Great atmosphere too but the wooden benches weren’t the best for a 4 person group. Would have given 4.5 stars for each if I could. Overall, totally worth going for the food.
Don Antonio is a must-visit for pizza lovers! Every pie we tried was amazing—authentic Neapolitan with that perfect light and crispy crust. The lemon pizza was my favorite—bright, tangy, and unforgettable. It’s run by the daughter of the owner of Kesté (another great NYC pizzeria), so pizza mastery clearly runs in the family. A true family of expert pizzaioli. Friendly service, cozy vibe, and top-tier food. Can’t wait to go back!
A beautiful American Italian restaurant in the heart of midtown. Gluten-free options are available and clearly marked on the menu. The gluten-free pizza is excellent, the dough taste just as regular one does. The restaurant can get loud when all tables are filled, the bar area is quieter, even though it’s at the front of the restaurant. The staff is friendly and the food is fast even when the restaurant is full.
We came here for a birthday specifically for the pizza, and it did not disappoint. We ordered a classic margherita, as well at the 10th anniversary pie. The stracciatella cheese was delicious, and made the pizza extra special. Thanks!
Bustling place. Many parties were waiting on a Friday night. The food tasted good, we really enjoyed the pizza. Service was okay, atmosphere was good.
Delicious Pizza, great vibe!! Plenty of neapolitan pizzas to choose from across all types of sauces: Red/White/Specialty! “10 years anniversary” was our favorite!
A really great pizzeria with plenty of flavor options that showcase the chef’s creativity. The portions are generous, making it perfect for groups to share several pizzas and enjoy a variety of tastes together.
I haven’t been to Don Antonio location in NyC but I just had their pizza at the NYCWFF and I’m obsessed. This was my favorite bite at the festival and hands down one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had!!!! I can’t wait to visit the restaurant and have more and more amazing Update: I finally went to Don Antonio before my Broadway show and I ordered the same pizza I had at NYCWFF, the Fall in Love. Of course I feel in love again. It’s delicious! The restaurant was packed but luckily, I scored a seat at the bar. Great vibes and I had the best time!!
